The weather presenter often fronts the forecast at Wimbledon but was missing this year.
The forecaster explained that the BBC had not been issued with as many media passes as previous years.
Meanwhile, the mum-of-two admitted she would love the opportunity to work nationally.

Elizabeth explained: “I do currently work at a regional level but I would love to do it at a national level. I haven’t been asked.”
The regional forecaster addressed her colleague Owain Wyn Evans, who has replaced Carol Kirkwood in the weekend slots on BBC Breakfast.
Elizabeth is “very excited” for him but added it’s “difficult for me to get noticed”.
“Owain Wyn Evans is based in Salford so he’s done [BBC Breakfast],” she commented.
