BREAKING: STACEY SOLOMON CONFIRMS HEARTBREAKING NEWS! “IT’S FOREVER…”

Stacey Solomon has admitted she is feeling “sad” as she shared a deeply emotional update about her beloved family dog following an unexpected and life-changing turn earlier this year.

Fans of the Sort Your Life Out host will remember that back in April, Stacey asked her followers to keep her family in their prayers after revealing that her dog Teddy’s health had suddenly deteriorated.

At the time, Stacey explained that she and her husband Joe Swash were devastated after being told their much-loved pet might never fully recover. The couple later discovered Teddy had a predisposed spinal condition they had been completely unaware of.

Sharing the frightening ordeal, Stacey revealed that Teddy had suddenly lost the use of his back legs. Vets later confirmed he had suffered a burst disc, with his spine described as being “really worn” due to the underlying condition.

Following emergency surgery, Stacey poured her heart out online, writing:

“We are all truly devastated. He is the sweetest, most protective, loving dog. He’s our family. And far too young to be going through this. We love you Ted. So, so much. Pickle Cottage is far too quiet without you. I miss my toilet buddy. Peanut is so sad without his best friend…”

In the weeks that followed, Teddy survived the operation and the most critical part of his recovery. Stacey later revealed she had taken on the role of full-time carer, performing daily physiotherapy sessions, managing his medication, keeping him on strict crate rest — and even having to express his bladder throughout the day.Stacey Solomon delights fans as she shares festive family Christmas card - The Mirror

Towards the end of May, Stacey told fans she was taking Teddy for a follow-up vet appointment, admitting his long-term future remained “uncertain”. She did not initially share the outcome — until now.

On Tuesday (June 3), Stacey finally updated her millions of followers, sharing a photo of Teddy lying beside her and describing the news as bittersweet.

“Teddy update, so many of you asking,” she wrote.
“After his vet appointment, it looks likely that Teddy will never get the feeling back in his legs and will need our help with urinating and assisted walks and physio forever.Stacey Solomon shares emotional family update after 'missing' Joe Swash | HELLO!

“But the good news is… the vet was so pleased with how happy Teddy was and how well we are doing his physio and managing his bladder. So me and Joe were really happy with that and felt extremely proud.”

The mum-of-five went on to admit her emotions were mixed, adding:
“I feel sad for Teddy but I’m also confident that me and Joe can give him the happiest life and all the love he deserves. So this new journey is forever.

“But we love Teddy so much we will just keep going and do our best to find new ways to keep him healthy and happy for as long as we can.”

Stacey and Joe’s family life at their home, affectionately known as Pickle Cottage, has previously been shared with viewers through their BBC One reality series Stacey & Joe, which followed the couple, their children and their pets — including Teddy and fellow dog Peanut — along with their ever-growing family of animals.
