Coronation Street Shock Christina Boyd Drags Todd Grimshaw Into Deceit As Spending Addiction Spirals

Coronation Street schemer Christina Boyd is still battling her compulsive spending next week and this time she pulls unsuspecting housemate Todd Grimshaw straight into her web of deceit. When she learns Todd is about to come into a windfall Christina wastes no time cosying up to him in the hope he will clear her debts. Will Todd willingly hand over his cash to save the spiralling spendaholic.

Parcel At Number 11 Exposes Christina Lies

Despite insisting she has stopped her obsessive spending after confessing she took out credit cards in the names of Mary Taylor and Glenda Shuttleworth Todd starts to realise Christina is not being totally honest when a parcel addressed to her arrives at Number 11.

Caught out Christina is forced to admit she is struggling to stop treating herself at the click of a button but swears she is trying her best to change.

George later spots the package and immediately fears Chrissie is up to her old tricks so Todd pretends the parcel is actually for him to throw his pal off the scent continues our source. Out of earshot of George Christina is hugely grateful to Todd for covering for her but he makes it clear that is the last time he will lie for her and she needs to get a proper grip on her addiction.

Todd later admits to a stunned Summer that Christina is telling George porkies and the pair wonder just how long the situation can continue before the truth blows up.

Theo Life Insurance Windfall Tempts Desperate Christina

Meanwhile Christina gets wind that Todd is about to receive a large payout from Theo life insurance policy and that he is thinking of giving it all away. Suddenly she sees a solution to her financial nightmare and hopes Todd might take pity on her predicament and pay off what she owes.

George is also desperately short of cash since his business took a nosedive after he was accused of conning customers. Maybe Todd will gift him some money instead. It soon becomes clear Todd has other plans entirely.

Todd announces he has booked flights for himself and Summer to visit Eileen and Jason in Thailand reveals our source. Christina is pretty put out she was practically spending the dosh in her head that she thought would solve all her problems.
