In his post, Gregg explained that finding expert help had been difficult, a reality many parents of neurodiverse children will relate to. “This is our little Sid. He has just turned seven, he is non-verbal, and still in nappies,” he shared, alongside a touching photo of Sid with his wife, Anne-Marie. “That is why we set up Altogether ND,” Gregg continued, referring to the charity they created to support families like theirs.
While the challenges are immense, there’s also a lot of joy in the Wallace family. Gregg posted a sweet video of Sid playing happily outside, showing his son’s positive moments despite the difficulties. “Happy Sid,” he wrote on the video, showcasing the joy he brings to his parents’ lives.
This emotional update comes amidst a dramatic shift in the family’s life. Gregg and Anne-Marie, who is 24 years younger than him, have sold their £1 million Kent mansion and relocated to Italy. This move follows Gregg’s departure from MasterChef after being sacked by BBC bosses due to an investigation into his conduct. Now, the family is downsizing and homeschooling Sid, with plans to spend five months each year in Italy and the rest in the UK.
Gregg also revealed that he’s moving to a more modest home in Yorkshire, closer to where his daughter lives, as they embrace this new chapter of life.
The star’s decision to downsize and move to Italy marks a new beginning for the family, as they take on the adventure of homeschooling and supporting Sid in a more peaceful and familiar environment.
As he shared on social media, “It’s quite an adventure,” and for Sid, it’s all about finding new ways to thrive with his parents by his side.
