Fox News ground to a screeching halt as King Charles III and Queen Camilla landed in Washington, D.C., for their historic state visit with President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump. The royals are making the trip to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. As a breaking news alert flashed at the bottom of the screen, Fox News viewers could see Charles wearing a dark suit and Camilla donning a light pink Dior dress with a special Cartier brooch as they disembarked their aircraft. âAlright, here comes the King and Queen,â reporter Gerry Baker said before live music played to celebrate the King and Queenâs arrival on US soil.

He added: âThe King and Queen are being greeted by Monica Crowley, who is very familiar to viewers of Fox News. Sheâs now the Chief of Protocol for the White House.â
The presenter said Monica has been âvery muchâ looking forward to the state visit and is âtaking the helm on all of the America 250 celebrationsâ.
Charles and Camilla have kept calm and carried on with their visit despite a shooter taking aim at Trump less than 48 hours ago. The pair arrived at Joint Base Andrews, near Washington, at around 7.35pm UK time today.
Viewers were quick to comment about the announcement on X, with one penning: âKing Charles III and Queen Camillaâs visit signals a key moment in strengthening U.S.âU.K. ties. Their meeting with Donald Trump could shape important diplomatic and economic discussions moving forward.â

A second added: â Welcome King Charles to the U.S.â Meanwhile, a third echoed: âWelcome King Charles.â
The monarch will stay in the US for a four-day visit, and UK Ambassador to the US Christian Turner said he was âvery confidentâ they will have the best security throughout their visit.
After staying in Washington, the King and Queen are set to travel to New York on the third day of their tour where they will visit the 9/11 memorial as the 25th anniversary of the attacks approaches.
They will also speak to first responders and families of those who were killed that horrific day.
