Strictly’s Ellie Goldstein speaks out on first performance after fans spot ‘perfect’ decision
The model and actress is among the 15 famous faces competing in the BBC One dance contest this year

Ellie Goldstein has spoken out on her first performance live on Strictly Come Dancing after fans rushed to support the show’s ‘perfect’ decision.
The model and actress is among the 15 famous faces competing in the BBC One dance contest this year and she’s also making history as the first person with Down’s syndrome to take part in the popular programme’s main series.
During Strictly’s first live show, Ellie and professional dance partner Vito performed the cha cha to Yes, And? by Ariana Grande, scoring 17 out of a possible 40.
The 23-year-old was seen strutting her stuff on the dance floor in a glittering light blue and silver dress, alongside a thrilled and energetic Vito.
As they got their comments, all four judges were in agreement that Ellie ‘didn’t miss a step’ throughout, although Craig Revel Horwood told her the routine was ‘flat footed’ and ‘stompy.’
Anton Du Beke, meanwhile, told Ellie was a ‘joy’ while Craig, although critical praised Ellie’s ‘natural rhythm.’ To round thinks off, head judge Shirley Ballas was seen giving Ellie a fan, branded with ‘fabulous’, after the performance.

Fans were quick to flocked to social media with praise, with many also spotted the professional dancers and her fellow constants supporting her throughout the live show in host Claudia Winkleman’s ‘Clauditorium’.
Giving her own verdict on the night, Ellie commented on a clip of her performance on Instagram: “I had the best time ever. I am so happy and grateful.”
And fans think Strictly made the ‘perfect’ decision in pairing her with Vito. @ElloTeenah said: “ELLIE!!! Fab-u-lous!!! What a first dance!! Her face said it all. Vito is the perfect partner. I’m so so exited for her and him #Strictly.”
